For nearly 35 years, Larry has overseen an array of workforce development & human service programs at E&ES. In 1987, he joined E&ES & has held a variety of roles & responsibilities with the organization during his tenure. In 2010, Larry assumed the role of President & CEO. He leads a staff team of more than 170 operating out of 20 locations in Chicagoland, offering vulnerable individuals & families services that help them achieve their goals, become more self-sufficient, & ultimately, strengthen local communities.

E&ES has a strong collaboration with local business partners, cultivating their skilled workforce, which works in tandem with E&ES’ career services programming. Under Larry’s leadership, E&ES has embraced a commitment to advancing equity in all aspects of E&ES’ service delivery & its culture. The E&ES staff team has participated in a range of professionally facilitated trainings to further our understanding on issues that impact our ability to connect with those we serve & understand their needs, notably trauma-informed care, unconscious bias, & strengths-based coaching.

Larry has also led E&ES in its efforts to cultivate relationships with the local business community. E&ES is continually evolving services to meet the hiring & training needs of local businesses, both large & small. During his tenure, E&ES has placed tens of thousands of Chicagoland job seekers into quality employment with thousands of local business partners.

Larry earned his Master's in Human Resource Management (HRM) in 2002. Larry is an adept steward of public funding, operating a lean organization focused on devoting significant resources to direct services for those E&ES serves. He currently serves as an active member of Richard J. Daley College Advisory Board & participants in numerous working groups of the Illinois Workforce Innovation Board (IWIB).
