Deborah has been an integral part of the E&ES team for more than 30 years, holding a variety of positions where she honed her expertise in workforce development. Deborah currently oversees all E&ES programming funded through the federal Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA), available at American Job Centers.
Additionally, Deborah guides service delivery of CSBG and CDBG (Community Service/Development Block Grant) funded programming at E&ES. During her tenure, programs overseen by Deborah have placed tens of thousands of Chicagoland job seekers into jobs that pay family-supporting wages. Deborah’s team delivers services from a trauma-informed perspective, understanding how past challenges shape the behaviors, well-being, & relationships of those we serve. E&ES Career Coaches working as part of Deborah’s team have received training in delivering services from a strengths-based perspective & all have successfully completed the nationally recognized Foundations of Workforce Professional Development Certification.
Deborah has a Master’s degree in Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management & an undergraduate degree in Corrections.
