Competencies

Summary/Objective

The Business Account Executive is responsible for job development, business services, and partnering to match eligible customers with jobs. Consult with Chicagoland area businesses in order to understand their hiring needs and provide personalized recruitment, screening, and referral services of candidates that match their needs.

Essential Functions

Calls on area businesses to determine what their hiring needs are and offers personalized recruitment, screening and referral services of candidates that match their needs. Develops On-the-Job Training agreements on an ongoing basis.

  1. Performs job development, screening, matching, referral, placement and follow-up activities for employer account
  2. Maximizes occupational choices for our job seeking customers and maximizes potential candidates for our partnering employer’s job openings
  3. Develops On-the-Job training outlines with employers detailing the skills to be developed on the job by the referred customers seeking employment
  4. Performs ongoing account maintenance activities for current accounts in order to maximize employer services and filled job orders within the company
  5. Determines customer suitability for various program activities, and/or refers customer for other services
  6. Targets account development efforts to new companies that can benefit from E&ES services
  7. Develop strategies to ensure the achievement of outcomes and performance measures

Skills and Experience

  1. Minimum of 3 years of related experience
  2. Excellent communication skills
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  4. Knowledge of the private sector and its employment needs
  5. Good advocacy and negotiation skills
  6. Proven track record in delivering on performance goals and metrics

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is a field role with a need to perform clerical and administrative duties in a physical office. Role requires an extensive amount of mobility.

Hours of Work

Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Position requires the ability to work on evenings and weekends as needed.

Reporting Relationships

This position reports to the Center Director and works in collaboration with E&ES staff.

Education

Bachelor’s degree preferred OR 5 years of related experience
