Associate Center Director

Competencies

Summary/Objective

Partners with the Center Director to deliver high quality, innovation, customer-centered service delivery, and performance driven One-Stop Center operation, including quality work-based learning services. Supports the collaboration and integration of services and resources with The Partnership as well as community, business, workforce system, and WIOA mandated partners to help meet the skills training and employment needs of local job seekers and talent pipeline needs of local businesses. Leads staff responsible for doing customer intake, certification, and core services.

Essential Functions

  1. Assists the Center Director in coordinating staff activities aimed at achieving all program goals.
  2. Executes and maintains the reporting requirements for the Center.
  3. Acts as the point of contact for staff, customers, and funders/agency partners in the absence of Center Director.
  4. Ensures One-Stop Center maintains compliance with WIOA program directives, auditing guidelines and customer file maintenance.

Skills and Experience

  1. 1 or more years of experience leading and developing a team
  2. 2 years of experience in workforce development services or related area
  3. Thoroughness and attention to detail, particularly for what can be repetitive and tedious tasks
  4. Strong planning and organizational skills
  5. Ability to recognize opportunity for process improvement
  6. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This role performs clerical and administrative duties in a physical office. Role requires an extensive amount of mobility.

Hours of Work

Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Position requires the ability to work on evenings and weekends as needed.

Reporting Relationships

Reports to the Center Director and leads the Associate Career Coaches.

Education

College/Associate degree preferred.
