
Quality Assurance Specialist
Competencies
Summary/Objective
In coordination with Leadership and program support staff, develops and implements internal monitoring and evaluation tools for program operations.
Essential Functions
The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for the compliance and administration of pertinent customer data and completing program reports. The Quality Assurance Specialist duties mainly consist of ensuring that all program documentation standards are reviewed, documented, and adhered to as required.
- Develops quality assurance policies and procedures
- Ensures that quality assurance standards are achieved
- Documents quality assurance activities, such as internal and external audits
- Collects and organizes statistical program data and outcomes
- Reviews data to determine areas for improvement
- Elaborates, recommends, and oversees improvement actions
- Reports on results of quality activities
- Identifies needs and take actions in accordance with these needs to ensure compliance with program standards
- Maintains and monitors program files to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Conducts internal audits and documentation reviews
- In coordination with the Quality Assurance Manager, ensures all files and documents are compliant and audit ready
- Maintains program documents and files
Skills and Experience
- 2-4 years of proven administrative compliance or quality assurance experience
- Excellent presentation, communication, organization, computer, and typing skills
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel
- Able to meet critical deadlines with accuracy and thoroughness
- Driven, assertive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
- Have a “Can-Do” spirit and actively work together as a team with the program staff
- Experience working with diverse, at risk, and vulnerable populations
- Work well independently and as a team member
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is a field role with a need to perform clerical and administrative duties in a physical office. Role requires an extensive amount of mobility.
Hours of Work
Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Position requires the ability to work in the evenings and weekends as needed.
Reporting Relationships
Reports to the local Leader, such as, Associate Center Director, Center Director or Program Manager/Director, Quality Assurance Manager and works in collaboration with E&ES staff. Will work closely with Program Support Specialists and program staff to ensure documentation compliance. Will also maintain positive relationships with funding sources and partner agencies.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Preferred bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited College/University OR related experience.
