Business Account Executive (Business Development)

Competencies

Summary

  • Responsible for new business partner development and showcasing E&ES suite of services/solutions.
  • Consults to Chicagoland businesses to understand hiring needs to develop a customized recruitment program to match their needs.
  • Coordinates with Career Coaches ensuring customer/candidates have access and match the in-demand hiring needs and goals of partners.

Objective

  • Expand partner footprint by actively engaging local businesses to determine their unique hiring needs and how they could benefit from accessing and utilizing our programs, with the goal of adding new job opportunities for our customers.

Functions

  • Field-based new business development – actively identifies and engages businesses in Chicagoland not currently using E&ES services.
  • Proactively sets meetings with prospective business partners to learn and understand their hiring needs and goals
  • Presents to current and prospective business partners E&ES’ suite of job placement, economic development and workforce solutions
  • Determines businesses suitability for various programs and coordinates with internal E&ES career coaching team on customer/candidate delivery
  • Performs ongoing account management activities to retain and expand Partner ecosystem.

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of the private sector and its employment needs
  • Good advocacy skills and negotiation skills.
  • Proven track record in delivering on performance goals and metrics

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is a field role with a need to perform clerical and administrative duties in a physical office. Role requires an extensive amount of mobility.

Hours of Work

Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Position requires the ability to work on evenings and weekends as needed. Hybrid work schedule is available.

Reporting Relationships

This position reports to the Director, Business & Industry Solutions and works in collaboration with E&ES staff.

Education

Bachelor’s degree preferred OR 5 years of related experience
