Summer Youth Employment
The Summer Youth Employment program has concluded for 2018. Please check back in March 2019 for updated information.
E&ES facilitates Summer Youth Employment programming for Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) youth in collaboration with the CHA and the City of Chicago’s Department of Family and Support Services. The program provides CHA youth ages 16-24 years with six weeks of a summer job and job readiness training.
E&ES partners with businesses to match youth with job opportunities that help them build skills. Youth are matched with jobs based on their interests and career goals. Important topics like personal finances, time management, and career planning are included.
The Summer Youth Employment program typically runs from late June/early July through August.
